Valentine elected ACGA secretary

Chicago—Laurie Valentine, trust counsel for the Kentucky Baptist Foundation, was elected secretary of the American Council on Gift Annuities board of directors executive committee at its biennial conference in Chicago last month.

Valentine, who also is chief operating officer for the KBF, has served on the ACGA board of directors since 2000 and has been a member of several committees within the organization.

According to its Web site, the ACGA is a nonprofit organization, formed in 1927, that provides “educational and other services to American charities regarding gift annuities and other forms of planned gifts.”

Valentine has served at the Kentucky Baptist Foundation since 1994. Prior to her tenure at KBF, she practiced law in Florida for 12 years specializing in estate planning, probate and guardianship law.
